Rootage is a pioneering export and import company that specializes in equipment, accessories, and minerals for the mining and energy sectors. The company has diversified into information technology, media, and telecommunications, leveraging its expertise and market presence. The foundation of "Rootage" signifies doing something from scratch with minimal resources, promoting the beginning, nurturing, growth, continuity, and stability of trade. Rootage provides an excellent ecosystem for different trading portfolios under one umbrella, hence its name.

The "Rootage" was established by Sri Ashok Kalash, a self-made young entrepreneur from a small village in the Khordha District of Odisha. A graduate of IIM-C, Mr. Ashok Kalash is an entrepreneur and visionary. In 2018, he expanded internationally by opening an office in Dubai, UAE, with a focus on the Telecom and Trade sectors. The business is headquartered in Bangalore with a branch in Bhubaneswar and has since expanded to the UAE, Singapore, Australia, South Korea, and Japan. Rootage specializes in the export and import of various products, including equipment and accessories across multiple segments, as well as mines and minerals such as iron ores, alumina power, chrome, clinker, billets, pet cokes, and more. Additionally, Rootage has ventured into wholesale gold and diamond trade through Kalash Gold & Diamond LLC.
